Pair of Earrings From the Fulani Culture in Mali, Africa

These Earrings are made out of gold for a Fulani woman in the 20th century.  Fulani women in Mali and other countries on the Sahara Desert often wear gold jewelry to display the wealth of their families.  Earrings like these could be made larger as the owner’s family’s wealth increases.
