Resource Websites Colonial Forge High School: This website is my school’s website. There is a link on this site to join my class. Once you are in my class you have access to my entire website. I have several good links on this site and all of my student assignments. My students can see their schedule and upcoming events. It also has a link to email me if they need me for any reason. United States Geological Services: This website can be a useful resource for almost any topic related to geology. It also has news articles that are cover up to date topics. NOAA: This website has information on meteorology and oceanography. This is a government site that has very reliable information that covers a variety of topics covered in an earth science class. NASA: This website has information on astronomy. This is a government site that gives a lot of up to date information that is interesting. Exciting students about topics can be a useful teaching tool and this website is very interesting. Wave Physics: This site has great step by step descriptions and images explaining wave properties. Wave interference is a confusing concept that becomes much easier when it is visualized. This website would be great for an expansion lesson with earth science. I also used it with my oceanography class this year. Faults: This site has several interactive images that describes and shows the different types of faults. It gives diagrams and real pictures to show how faults work.
