Music Here are some Compact Discs that I have found to be useful in the classroom for my Kindergarten students. I have included the website of the composers. Songs are a great way to have laughter in the classroom. The songs give the children a time to stretch and wake up so they can get back to work. ______________________________________________________ “Sings Silly Songs” by Dr. Jean http://www.drjean.org/ The children love the song called “The Cool Bear Hunt”. The CD contains songs about numbers, rhymes, the life cycle of a butterfly and a Good Morning song. “Sing to Learn with Dr. Jean” http://www.drjean.org/ This CD has some songs about colors, alphabet, rhyme and shapes. _______________________________________________________[Top] “We All Live Together, Volume 2” by Greg & Steve This CD is great! It has a lot of songs to use for your morning opening: “Good Morning”, “Number Rock”, “Months of the Year”. It also contains “The World is a Rainbow” and “The Freeze” which we use in class. _______________________________________________________[Top] “Learning Basic Skills Through Music” by Hap Palmer This CD has 3 great songs we use all the time. They are “Colors”, “Put Your Hands Up In The Air”, and “Marching Around The Alphabet”. “Getting to Know Myself” by Hap Palmer http://www.happalmer.com This CD has songs about feelings and physical movements of their hands and legs. The children like the song “Sammy” where they can be a bird, fish, bug and bunny. _______________________________________________________[Top]
